The process of obtaining a residence permit .

Company registration

When registering a limited liability company (S.R.O.) in Slovakia, you will need a legal address and a nominee director with SR resident status. Any foreigner, when setting up a company, is registered only as a founder and can become a director in his company after obtaining a residence permit.

The minimum authorized capital of the S.R.O. is 5000 euros. This amount does not need to be deposited into a bank account when registering a company.

Registration of residence permit

Citizens of countries with a visa-free regime can apply for a residence permit directly to the migration police in Slovakia.

All other foreigners are in
Consulate of the Slovak Republic in the country of citizenship or in the country where you have a valid residence permit. The official deadline for processing a residence permit application is 90 days. If you apply at the consulate of the Slovak Republic, you get a national visa “D”, which must be used to enter Slovakia for the subsequent registration of a residence permit.

Fulfillment of requirements

Congratulations! You have obtained a residence permit in one of the most comfortable countries of the European Union. But I would also like to draw your attention to a number of mandatory formalities that must be met after obtaining a residence permit.

Within 3 days after receipt of an ID-card residence permit to obtain health insurance and within 30 days to undergo a special medical commission. Within 60 days after receipt of the ID-card of the residence permit must also conduct the registration of changes in the Charter of the company on the appointment of the founder as director. Confirmation of residence

If you have your own or rented housing in Slovakia, the package of documents must be accompanied by an extract from the real estate registry SR or rental agreement. If you do not have such a possibility, our company will help to arrange registration with official confirmation from the owner of the property. The cost of registration of registration is negotiable.

Confirmation of the availability of funds to conduct business in the territory of Slovakia.

The minimum account balance of your Slovak company on the day of issuing the certificate from the bank must be at least 24,000 euros. In order to obtain such a certificate, our company, if necessary, provides a short-term interest-free loan of 24,000 euros (provided that our representative acts as a nominee director).

Certificate of no criminal record

It is mandatory to provide a certificate of no criminal record with an apostille from the country of citizenship. If the applicant has lived in any other country for more than 6 months per year in the past 3 years, a certificate of no criminal record from that country will also be required.

Confirmation of financial support

As such confirmation it is sufficient to provide a certificate from the bank about the balance
of funds in your personal account. The minimum balance on the day of issuance of such a certificate must be at least 3,000 euros. The certificate must confirm not only the account balance, but also the turnover for the last 3 months.
